Donna Collinson
Taking my inspiration from the flotsam and jetsam
of the beach I produce several instantly recognisable collections
of jewellery primarily in Silver, with details in gold, semi-precious
stones, or gold plate accentuating the sensual feel of the
metal. My "freeform" work has a purity of form that
can be read across cultural borders in what Jung calls "the
collective unconscious". These pebble like pieces are
primative, organic and tactile. I pay great attention to a
variety of surface finishes that interpret the water washed
surfaces of sandstone, limestone and granite.
