Drawings - Lindsay Green

My drawings reflect my current fascination with the qualities of mark-making achieved when exploring sharpened tools such as graphite and conte crayon. I have found myself returning to the same subject matter of shaded lanes, quiet pathways and dirt tracks. The sense of perspective these pathways lend the composition and the slight feeling of isolation they imbue in the viewer intrigue me. I feel these drawings provide a contrast to much of my painted work as they focus on portraying a more realistic, descriptive depiction of a particular scene as well as hopefully reflecting the specific atmosphere of the environment.
